Mount Notre Dame Class of ’59 Inducted MND’s Golden Guild
Recently, MND student Candace Crowley, daughter of Jeff and Ann Crowley of Liberty Township, took members Mount Notre Dame’s Class of 1959 down memory lane. Candace modeled the graduation gown worn at their commencement ceremony 50 years ago during the 15th annual Golden Guild ceremony held at the school.
The Golden Guild ceremony honors MND alumnae who graduated 50 years ago, this year welcoming in the members of the Class of 1959. Graduates from the prior Golden Guild years (50+) were in attendance to join in the celebration.
Ms. Crowley, a member of MND’s Class of 2011, represented the old and new of Mount Notre Dame by showcasing the dress of Judith Konrad Baris, a member of MND’s Class of 1959. “It was a real honor to wear the graduation gown,” said Crowley, “I truly enjoyed meeting the alumnae and hearing about the deep-rooted traditions and stories of MND.”
Golden Guild members from the classes of 1936 -1959 enjoyed a prayer service and luncheon to honor the newest members and share in the fellowship of one another.
