Prayer Requests

The MND family is bound together with faith in the goodness of God.  We may have not met or even walked the halls of MND in the same decade, yet we support each other and those we love, especially in times of special need. Please share your prayer intention with us, and know you have an entire community praying for you.

from Cynthia Dillon Simmons '67
Last week, Cynthia had an accident on the downtown streets of Cincinnati, OH.  She is in a wheelchair and hit a bump in the sidewalk, her wheelchair tipped over throwing her into the middle of the street.  She broke her leg and now has to have surgery to repair the extensive damage.  Please keep her in your prayers.

from Elise Price Strasser '92
On 11/14/07, Elise's daughter, Lyndsey (1 1/2) had a febrile seizure that lasted 1 hour and 45 minutes and was placed in intensive care at Children's Hospital in Cincinnati, OH.  She continues to have high fevers and very low blood pressure for which she is on several medications.  All of her tests have come back normal so the doctors are somewhat perplexed as to the underlying causes of her condition.  Please keep her and their family in your prayers.

Marian Fanger Linneman '41 was placed in Sunrise Nursing Home on January 15 and is suffering from Alzheimer's among other things.  Please keep her in your prayers.

from Barb Fern Schmidt ’56
BarbWolke Thornton’s ’56 husband John has been diagnosed with a brain tumor.  He had surgery on June 17 and it went well and he will see the oncologist when he heals from surgery.  Please keep them in your prayers.

7/16/08

John is recovering from surgery, taking speech and occupational therapy 2x a week and began radiation on July 9 for five weeks, then will go on a chemo drug called camptosar.     He is staying positive and appreciates all the prayers and well wishes.

7/16/08
Emily Fedders Wilford ’95 has RSD, Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy which is a potentially neuropathic pain disorder.  She has had two surgeries to remove a tumor from her spine and is battling the disease in all four limbs, her throat and her tongue.  Even a small breeze is very painful.  She will be having surgery again but needs to “detox” her body from all the pain medications first.  Please keep her in your prayers as she battles this disease.

7/16/08
Please keep Barb Fern Schmidt's '56 son in your prayers.  He goes for a liver biospy in two weeks.
