A Solid Foundation for Pursuing Higher Education


The Mount Notre Dame diploma represents a solid foundation in curriculum at the College Preparatory, Honors, and/or Advanced Placement levels.

To earn a diploma from Mount Notre Dame, a student must...

Earn a minimum of 23 credits as follows:

  • 4 credits in Religion
  • 4 credits in English
  • 4 credits in Mathematics
  • 3 credits in Science (1 in Life Science and 1 in Physical Science)
  • 3.5 credits in Social Studies (including Economics)
  • 2 credits in Foreign Language
  • 1 credit in Performing and/or Visual Arts
  • 0.5 credit in Health
  • 0.5 credit in Information Technology
  • 0.5 credit in Physical Education

Pass the five sections of the Ohio Graduation Test (OGT) in these subjects:

  • English
  • Mathematics
  • Reading
  • Science
  • Social Studies

Beginning with the Class of 2012, a high school senior will participate in a student-led service project and successfully present this project to the community as part of her MAP journey towards empowerment.
