History
Unified for UNIFAT (U4U) was founded six years ago by a small group of Moeller students after seeing the Invisible Children movie. Interest grew to include a handful of students from several other schools, including several girls from Mount Notre Dame.  After a personal connection was made with UNIFAT (Upper Nile Institute for Appropriate Technology), an elementary school in Uganda, Unified for UNIFAT was formed.  Mount Notre Dame is proud to be among the founding chapters of Unified for UNIFAT.

What We Do
U4U members are working together again this year to spread the word and get our community involved in supporting the children displaced by the violence in Northern Uganda. Mount Notre Dame students sponsor 4 different children attending UNIFAT - a technology school in Northern Uganda. It takes $300 a year to pay for tuition, books, food, and other related expenses to educate one child at UNIFAT.

Once each quarter, U4U sells puppy chow snack mix during FLEX time to raise the money needed to send one student to UNIFAT school for the year.

Go Uganda
The past two years, recently graduated MND students - Julia Burke and Kelly Dennis -  have been fortunate to visit Uganda and spend time with the students we support.  We hope that we are able to continue to have students participate in this life-changing experience!
