As Christians, we are challenged to help people on the margins of society.  One way to do this is to help construct affordable housing, to work with people who need a hand up, and to meet the people that Jesus would have hung out with if he was on earth.

RISE: CASH members work with Choices Cafe's RISE program, helping construct affordable housing in our most challenged communities in Cincinnati. Work includes demolition, construction, painting, landscaping, and other tasks.  Mount Notre Dame students are working with students from Moeller and Purcell Marian, along with 3CDC (www.3cdc.org) and City Studios Architecture (www.citystudiosarch.com).  Our apartment is located at 1421 Elm Street in Over-the-Rhine, one block north of Musical Hall.

HELP: In addition to rehab work, students will have the opportunity to work with ex-offenders, helping them develop skills to get back on their feet and to become productive members of society.  This work will be under the guidance of Brother Mike Murphy, and Marianist, who is on the board of Choices Cafe.

Work takes place on Saturday mornings throughout the year.  We will meet at 8:15 am at Moeller. and return by 12:30 pm at Moeller.

Upcoming Saturdays workdays...
