COUNSELING

Guiding Your Success

Our dedicated team of four licensed counselors, supported by a licensed social worker, offers comprehensive academic, emotional, and mental‑health support—from personalized college and career advising to small‑group and crisis intervention—to ensure every student thrives throughout her four years.

Academic

Students receive personalize advising through an individualized four-year academic plan that is built and developed through individual and group advising. Counselors support building academic strengths by exploring and applying learning styles,  understanding productivity strategies, managing time and stress, and setting goals.

Career

Students engage in career exploration with a commitment to post-secondary planning through career and student inventories. Students have the opportunity to participate in a job shadow experience and conduct career interview as they focus on and develop their interests, strength and talents.

Health & Wellness

Students receive mental and health and wellness support and education which focuses on identifying and leaning into their sources of strength.  Through education and awareness students are equipped to find balance and practice mental wellness.

Standardized Testing

Students receive support and guidance in navigating the ACT, PSAT, SAT and other standardized test.  Through engaging in a battery of standardized tests with opportunities for score interpretations, students grow in identifying strength and weaknesses for college entrance exams, fulfill state requirements and earn college credits.

College

Students receive guidance in the college search, application, and admissions process through various opportunities such as college match inventories, college fair, college rep visits and college tours. These opportunities start early in the high school experience and are tailored to the student’s exploration and growth of post-secondary planning.

Road to College is a four-year comprehensive journey that counselors take students through as they plan and prepare for their future. Programming for families is offered through the years and the Road to College Resource Guide is a specially curated resource to support the college search and admission process.
