MND Hires Varsity Volleyball Coach

Mount Notre Dame is pleased to announce the hiring of Mr. Greg Ulland as Head Varsity Volleyball Coach. Ulland has been coaching volleyball in Cincinnati for the past 25 years and returns to MND where his volleyball coaching career began.

Ulland previously served as an assistant coach at MND from 1998 – 2007. During his tenure, MND won four State Championships (1998, 1999, 2000, 2006), a Regional Championship (2005) and had an impressive 21 students-athletes sign to play NCAA Division 1 Volleyball. Ulland also had tremendous success at Moeller High School where he coached from 2002 – 2014, earning four State Championships (2004, 2005, 2007, 2009), four State Runners-Up titles (2003, 2006, 2010, 2011) and multiple Coach of the Year recognitions.

Ulland also has significant club coaching experience, most recently serving as the Lead Setting Instructor for Elevation Volleyball Club.

“We are extremely excited to have Greg back at MND,” notes Mr. Mark Schenkel, MND Athletic Director. “Greg brings a great deal of experience, knowledge and excitement to the MND Volleyball Program.”

Ulland graduated from Miami University with a Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education and received his Masters of Education from Indiana Wesleyan University. He currently teaches Mathematics at Sycamore High School.
