MND Unveils New Performing Arts Center

Mount Notre Dame (MND) is excited to announce the completion of its brand new Performing Arts Center. MND partnered with MSA Design, HMBA and Beischel Building Company to convert the existing auditorium and library spaces into a state-of-the-art Performing Arts Center, featuring 390 permanent seats with additional portable seating available.

The renovation included upgrades to the HVAC and fire alarm systems, the sound and lighting system with an integrated AV system and control booth, a gallery and an on-site scene shop. MND is hosting a soft opening this weekend with a performance of  ‘The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged)’ is on Friday, March 26 at 7:30 p.m.; Saturday, March 27 at 3 p.m. & 7:30 p.m.; and Sunday, March 28 at 3 p.m and 7 p.m. Tickets are $12 for adults and $8 for students and can be ordered via the MNDT Ticket Hotline at 513-821-3044 ext SHOW or online at https://mndt.booktix.com/

MND President Judy Back Gerwe ’78 notes, “The construction of the Performing Arts Center helped fulfill our Strategic Plan goal ‘To establish ideal learning environments characterized by superior facilities’. Thanks to the support of many MND Benefactors, the MND Board of Trustees, and the designer, architect and builder, we were able to make this project a reality. This state-of-the-art facility fits into our overall campus site plan and we are so pleased with the finished project.”
