PRAYER & WORSHIP

Worship, Pray, Reflect, Serve

At Mount Notre Dame, prayer and worship are at the center of our community life. Daily prayer and scripture services, school-wide liturgies, Adoration & xposition of the Blessed Sacrament, and opportunities to participate in the sacrament of Reconciliation invite students to encounter God’s presence in powerful ways. Rooted in the Gospel and the spirit of St. Julie Billiart, these opportunities form women of faith and action – ready to serve, lead, and bring hope to the world.

Daily Prayer

Prayer is woven into every part of campus life. Each morning our community unites in prayer, and throughout the day each class session begins with prayer. Club meetings, athletic events, and performances also open with prayer. At day’s end, we join our voices with St. Julie Billiart’s words: “How good is the good God.” These moments root us in God’s presence and strengthen our bonds as a faith community.

Sacred Prayer & Reflection

Students encounter God through cherished Catholic devotions, including the Rosary, Stations of the Cross, and Marian traditions such as the May Crowning. Daily Scripture services invite us to listen, reflect, and respond to God’s Word. These practices deepen our love for Christ, honor Mary, and remind us of God’s faithful presence in every season of life.

Liturgy & Sacrements

Our community gathers regularly to celebrate our Catholic faith through prayer services and all-school liturgies. The Eucharist remains the heart of our worship, nourishing us with Christ’s presence and sending us forth to serve. During Advent and Lent, students encounter God’s mercy through the Sacrament of Reconciliation, offered in class prayer services. Monthly Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament provides a quiet space to rest in Christ’s presence. Together, these celebrations deepen our Catholic identity, honor the rhythm of the Church year, and call us to live the Gospel each day.
