Meet the Team for Winter Sports

Dear Parents and Athletes,

Congratulations on making a winter sports team at Mount Notre Dame!

The Ohio High School Athletic Association has passed Bylaw 3-1-4 stating that a parent must attend a preseason meeting with their daughter before the student/athlete can participate in interscholastic athletics. The meeting for all winter sports teams will be Tuesday, November 14th at 7:00 p.m. in the gym.

At this meeting we will discuss all expectations of the athletes who play on a team at MND. Enclosed with this letter are all necessary forms that are required for participation. Prior to the meeting please complete all the forms. Be sure to bring your forms to the meeting where they will be turned in along with the Participation and Booster fees. The Participation fees for 2017-18 have increased for the first time in more than five years. The fees are $250 for the first sport, $100 for the second sport and $75 for the third sport. There is a limit of $500 per family.Despite the increase, MND’s participation fees remain the lowest of any of the other GGCL schools.The Booster fee is a minimum of $25.00 per family, per year. If your daughter played a fall sport, we require only the emergency medical form and participation fee. If this is your daughter’s first sport, all forms and fees should be turned in to your daughter’s Coach on November 14thor your daughter will not be permitted to participate in a contest. Please refer to the Checklist in this packet for a list of forms which need to be handed in

Prior to each individual meeting with the team coach, time will be allotted for parents to purchase game passes and parent spirit wear.
