MND Announces Record Number of Advanced Placement® Scholars

MND is proud to recognize its 92 Advanced Placement® Scholars as identified by the College Board after the 2018-2019 school year. This is the largest number of AP® Scholars in school history.  Included in the 92 AP® Scholars are 8 National AP® Scholars, 40 AP® Scholars with Distinction (including National AP® Scholars), 19 AP® Scholars with Honor and 33 AP® Scholars.

Achieving National Status is not an easy feat.  National AP® Scholars must take at least eight AP® exams and receive a score of 4 or 5 (out of 5). Congratulations to these MND alumnae who were recognized as National AP® Scholars: Julia Barnes ’19, Ginny Edwards ’19, Julia Evans ’19, Caroline Gott ’19, Erin Mahan ’19, Caroline Rueter ’19, Minh-Thu Truong ’19 and Lauren Ulland ’19.

MND Principal Mrs. Karen Day commented, “Our students continue to show us that they can achieve at collegiate levels.  This is a testament to their strong work ethic, willingness to take challenging courses and to the outstanding faculty at MND.  Kudos to our students and teachers!”
