MND THEATRE – MNDT
Discover Your Role
Mount Notre Dame Theatre (MNDT) provides a well-rounded theatrical experience for students interested in both stage performance and technical theatre. We offer opportunities for students to hone their skills in acting, singing, dancing, theatrical set construction, lighting design, sound design, property management, costume design, stage management, choreography and stage make-up.

We are a welcoming, inclusive program and are always looking to engage with more students and help teach them “what they need for life”. We encourage student participation regardless of prior experience or skill level, and offer opportunities for all students to hone their craft. Students with passion and curiosity for the stage and all its facets are welcome!
MNDT is a no cut program! This means, if you audition for the show, you will be cast. We are here to provide the opportunity for every interested individual to shine on our Performing Arts Center Stage.
If the stage isn’t quite your dream, we welcome students to join us for the “behind-the-scenes” work. Our Technical Theatre program is a thriving, vibrant piece of our success as a Company. MNDT is an educational theatre- with our student technicians designing the set, build props and set pieces, and even running the show from the control booth. We encourage MND students of all grade levels to bravely pursue their interest and passion for knowing how things work… because girls can use power tools, too!

FAQs
My child has never done theatre before- can they still participate?
Absolutely, YES! We encourage everyone to join the MNDT Family. Whether you are interested in being under the stage lights or behind the scenes, you are welcome. Prior experience is not necessary. The only things we ask you to bring to the table are a positive attitude, a willingness to work hard, and desire to learn new skills!
What’s the time commitment like?
We do our best to be accommodating- we know students are often involved in multiple activities, and that’s A-Okay! Upon auditioning for one of our productions, students are given an “Audition Form,” in which we request that all potential conflicts are listed, prior to the beginning of the rehearsal process. Our rehearsals typically take place on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays until we reach “Tech Week” – the week prior to Opening Night!
Our Tech Crew traditionally meets on Mondays and Saturdays to construct the set and prepare the stage for the productions. We call these “Build Days.” The schedule can sometimes vary based on the demand and the timeline of the production, but you can usually plan on meeting two days per week until we dive into Tech!
I know this is an all-girls school, but how can male students get involved?
We welcome male performers and technicians from any local high school! We recommend joining the MNDT BAND App page, as all of our audition and tech crew information is posted there prior to each production. **BAND Link, perhaps??? QR Code, maybe?**
QUESTIONS ABOUT TICKETS
Please see our CURRENT SHOW page for more information on tickets and ticket sales.
Do you take credit cards at the door?
We do accept credit card at the Box Office. Please keep in mind there is a small convenience fee for processing the transaction.
How does seating work?
All of MNDT’s productions are a first come first serve basis. When purchasing your tickets online, you will see a layout and have the ability to select your own seats!
What is Will Call?
Will Call is located in the Box Office outside of the Performing Arts Center. This is also where you can purchase tickets on the night of the performance if available.
What do the ratings mean for shows?
We follow the same guidelines as movie theatres for a rating system, to advise our audience of the subject matter in each production. Ex. Rated G, Rated PG, Rated PG-13, etc. Although most productions are family friendly, we try to challenge our students with more advanced subject matter and this may mean that some material may not be suited for ALL ages.
