Counseling Services

The high school years are a time of growth and transition as adolescents move toward adulthood and the world of college and work. During this time students may feel excitement, anxiety, hopefulness, frustration and promise. Mount Notre Dame’s counselors guide our students and their families as they navigate through this often confusing period of life and aim to know each student as an individual, with her own special combination of goals, strengths, skills and abilities.

Students are assigned to counselors based on the first letter of their last name and will maintain the same counselor throughout high school. Over the four years, the counseling staff provides students with information and resources through individual support, group counseling and assemblies. Through these meetings, Mount Notre Dame’s young women are encouraged to balance their education goals and growing need for independence with the demands of school, family and friends.
